Bryce & Brennon

In 2005 we were so blessed! I can't even begin to count how many ways God has blessed us this past year!  We rang in the New Year in Little Rock, AR with Brady, Danielle, and Maggie. We had such a wonderful time! You and Maggie just love each other. The two of you would just giggle at each other, it was so cute to watch.  We sat up and talked until after midnight and of course, you and Maggie slept right through it. Last year I went to sleep at 10:00 on New Year's Eve, but you were not even 2 months old...what do you expect?! This year I'm not trying to make any big resolutions, I just want to be better at everything I'm already doing...a better wife, a better mother, a better Christian, and a better American. I'll be busy with all of that...no need to dissappoint myself and try to lose weight or anything, so I'll just stick to those! I love you more than words - Mommy

I tried to have a little photo session with Bryce and Abigail.  Abigail is such a little diva!  She wanted right in the camera and you were having none of it!  You kept pulling down my make-shift white background (a sheet) and laying on it.  Needless to say the two of you are definately photo worthy...I mean, it doesn't get much cuter than the two of you!  Love - Mommy

Today when Josh went to pick Bryce up from Day school his teachers told him that when they were outside playing, some of the kids in the older toddler class were eating dirt and Bryce was watching them.  Then later they looked over and Bryce was eating dirt!!!!  He had it all over his shirt, it was hillarious!!!!!

Yesterday we had to go see Dr. Porter and you were really showing off...laughing at her, trying to get her instruments, giving her kisses, and digging in her cabinets!!  Yes, I took pictures.

Aunt Bri Bri and I took you and Abigail to the park in Texarkana and took some pictures of you playing.  First we went to the side of the pond where the ducks and geese were.  You and Abigail loved them!  You were trying to grab at them but I didn't let you get very close.  It's quite a chore to get you and Abigail to take a picture together...as you see, it usually doesn't work out! Abigail turned one and had a wonderful little party.  Her cake was so adorable, I wish I would've taken a picture of it.  Her theme was Paris
Poodles and it was the sweetest thing ever!  Baby pink and black polka dots to decorate and a poodle on the invitations and cake.  Just Precious!  You are getting a couple of teeth right now and as we've already discovered, you have a HARD  time getting them!  Needless to say, we left the party right when it was over.  The day of the party was your Daddy's birthday too.  You had a croupy cough to accompany your pain from the teeth, so we didn't get to celebrate Josh's birthday...sorry Josh!  Maybe next weekend we can have a big belated birthday bash!   Love you both! 

I thought that I should write down some of the things that you are saying now and what they mean, because I know that time will fly and before I know it, you will be saying these words the "right"way.

As you can see - you leave off some of the sounds and can't quite get the "r" sounds down yet.

Mama - Daddy - Abi - Bri Bri - Mimi - Papa - Duck - Apple - Bye Bye - Map - Baby -  "I poo poo" (also used at appropriate time) - your father has taught you to call the Hogs, and you raise your hands and say "oooooh".

And yes, for those of you who could tell, we do watch Dora. That's where he got some of his words!  I swear I heard him say a spanish word today, we'll see if he says it again, it could've been a fluke.

Glad to have the blog to record all of this for the future.

Well, we had our first and hopefully last car wreck.  A car ran a stop sign and hit us in the side.  It was thankfully on the passenger side.  You were on the driver's side of the care behind me in the back seat.  I looked back in the back seat when we were being hit (I saw it coming) and you didn't even change your facial expression.  Your little head just kind-of swayed from side to side but you didn't even seem to know we had been hit.  It was very scary to say the least.  Thank the Lord that it was only a little wreck and noone was hurt.

Mimi has started a tradition of cooking Sunday lunch for us after church.  So after church yesterday we went to Mimi and Papa Don's house to eat Sunday lunch.  Grandmommy and Mamaw Smith came also.  Before lunch was ready we played outside because it was absolutely gorgeous out!  The pictures speak for themselves...you and Abi are adorable!  I hope this becomes a tradition...of course we always eat and run, but that's how it goes with a baby.  Love you.
